June 20, 2022 Collaborative UT Team Receives $1.3M Grant to Reduce Barriers to Immunizations

In the true Volunteer spirit our land-grant university is known for, our 澳门六合彩开奖结果 is collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team from across UT to create ways to improve lives of those in our state. With an innovative app funded by a $1.3 million grant from the Tennessee Dept. of Health, the team hopes to reduce barriers to childhood immunizations.

Victoria Niederhauser, dean of the College of Nursing, and her collaborative team at UT- Xueping Li, Dan Doulet Faculty Fellow and professor of industrial and systems engineering in the Tickle College of Engineering; Sarah Lowe, director and professor in the 澳门六合彩开奖结果 in the 澳门六合彩开奖结果; and Tami Wyatt, associate dean of research in the College of Nursing, were awarded a $1.3 million grant from the Tennessee Department of Health to help reduce barriers to immunizations in children across the state.

The SmartSHOTS App project will help implement a smart digital systems app that helps minimize barriers to childhood immunizations for Tennessee parents.

The project began in spring 2022, and the app will be tested across the state soon. .
